Boston Grand Piano GP 156 Ebony high polished

Introducing the new Performance Edition II by Boston, which has rescaled bass and treble strings, a bronze-painted and lacquered plate, a Pommele Sapele veneer on the interior rim (only for ebony pianos), and black felts.
The Hard Rock Maple inner rim and OctagripTM pinblock, two of Boston's best-in-class characteristics, are enhanced with the Boston PE II. Despite being the smallest Boston grand by length at 5' 112" (156cm), the GP-156 Performance Edition's sound, which gains from a wide-tail design, is anything but little.

Product Description
DESIGN
Responsiveness. Precision. intelligence grace. The degree to which a musical instrument allows the player to express vision freely, with nothing standing between the fingers on the keyboard and the music in the air, is a sign of a superior musical instrument. This is what it's like to play a Boston. The Boston line of grand and upright pianos, created by Steinway & Sons using the distinctive patents and expertise that have made the name STEINWAY synonymous with excellence, represents a unique achievement in instrument building: a superior playing experience at a price level never before thought possible.
SOUNDBOARD
Due to its unique "wide tail" construction, the Boston grand piano delivers a larger soundboard than comparable pianos of the same length. A 5' 10" Boston grand piano has the same soundboard area as a normal 6' 2" grand piano thanks to the wider case structure, giving it the strength, richness, and feel of a much larger piano. Each soundboard for a Boston grand piano is made of Sitka spruce, which has a long history of being the most resonant wood kind. Boston soundboards can vibrate more freely since they are solid (not laminated) and perfectly tapered. A strong, sustained tone is produced as a result of a number of unique innovations that Steinway & Sons has patented.
STRING SCALE
A low tension string scale design allows more of the lower partials to sing, which results in a fuller, richer, warmer tone. Additionally, it boasts a wider dynamic range, more power, longer sustain, and warmer and mellower tones.
PINBLOCK
Eleven layers of hard-rock maple, a BOSTON Performance Edition special, are bonded at various grain angles of 60 degrees to maintain the tuning pins' tightness while allowing for smooth mobility. This results in better-quality, longer-lasting tunings.
ACTION/HAMMERS
To drive the hammers to the strings and produce a good action-touch, the entire action is made of wood, as are the solid spruce keys, synthetic ivories, and ebonies. The STEINWAY-designed BOSTON hammers' lovely tone increases the action touch by rewarding the player with a lovely tone.
