- For longevity and good tone, the top is stacked with spruce, while the back, sides, and top are all made of layered mahogany. The 24.75" scale length minimises string tension and the distance the player's fingers must "reach" to construct chord shapes. The mahogany neck has a comfortable C-shaped profile, and the Indian Laurel fretboard has 20 medium jumbo frets that make it simpler to press the strings down with less effort. The pickguard sports a striking and original Starling logo. EpiLiteTM or hardshell cases are optional and are sold separately.
