Zildjian Cymbal Hybrid Crash K1216 K Custom 16

The Zildjian K Kustom Hybrid Crash cymbal was created in collaboration with renowned drum stylist Akira Jimbo and boasts a revolutionary brilliant/traditional surface that generates various tones depending on where the cymbal is played for a musical "darkness with brightness" combo. While the outer half has the traditionally finished K Zildjian lathing, the inner half has the unlathed, sparkling finish of the K Custom Ride. For both live and recorded performances, the unlathed area helps regulate the wash and sustain. The crash's relatively thin form gives it a particularly responsive feel. Due to the unlathed bell, it opens up rapidly but retains the capacity to project powerfully and cut through dense mixes. The Hybrid series' principal goal is to provide the most versatility possible.
