Additionally, the neck is an Epiphone AJ vintage 1960's SlimTaper D-profile with a quick, smooth, satin finish that is enjoyable to play. The AJ-220SCE features premium sealed die-cast tuners with a 14:1 ratio for tuning accuracy and stability in addition to all nickel hardware. When plugged in, this AJ-220SCE's Performer NanoFlex HD pickup system and Tuner HD preamp produce outstanding acoustic tone. The advanced preamp on this guitar features professional features including a Master Volume, built-in Chromatic Tuner, Bass, Low Battery indicator, Treble, and a Phase control to help reduce unwanted feedback. Other incredible features include a Tuner/Mute key that comes in useful when connecting or disconnecting your guitar. Two AAA batteries, which are not only small and lightweight but also have a substantially longer lifespan than bulky, antiquated 9-volt batteries, are used in the Performer Tuner HD preamp. Last but not least, this AJ-220SCE features a pickguard made of tortoise shell in addition to the standard metal "E" to protect the top from pick marks.
