Score to Great Spotted Woodpeckers, the second in a series of 'Woodpecker' titles inspired by our habit of tapping out rhythms when starting a new piece. All-time favourite with my mixed ensembles.

	The violin has an optional section with some 4th finger on the E string. The viola alternative to the easier section of the violin part makes it useful for ensemble sessions with only ADGC string instruments available - like when the entire violin section is away camping in Wales!
