This atmospheric work for mixed voices is a contemporary reflection on Benjamin Britten’s setting of the same text, the twelfth song in his well-loved Friday Afternoons set. Commissioned by the London Youth Choir, Ken Burton’s setting was performed by the choir on 22 November 2013 – the centenary of Britten’s birth.
