This piece should sound like a little music box, very soft and delicate. There is a slight sadness to it, because the snowflakes will eventually disappear. The exotic sound of the accidentals should be precious, shimmering with the fragility of a snowflake. 

Originally from the Faber Music publication Perpetual Motion, a collection of 10 evocative pieces written for young pianists to explore and enjoy, these pieces have been transcribed for marimba or vibraphone by Dame Evelyn Glennie with the intention of concentrating on musicality:
