SPL Channel One Premium Channel strip

The Channel One from SPL is a mono channel strip with preamp, de-esser, compressor/gate, equalizer and FET distortion.The built-in de-esser can handle fluctuating input levels well thanks to auto-threshold mode. S-sounds are detected in a narrow band and mixed in phase. This way, disturbing S-sounds are cancelled out inconspicuously.The One-Knob compressor is based on SPL’s double VCA drive circuitry and is extremely low in noise and distortion. The noise gate works flutter-free and detects reverb tails or similar.To process voices as well as acoustic and electronic instruments, a new EQ section has been designed. This includes a low, mid and air band. A spring effect distortion stage provides a sound full of character.
