Building on the global success of our Crossroads line of instruments, our design team has produced a completely new line of guitars inspired by the cosmetics of 1940/50's era US instruments and featuring the class-leading constructional signature of Michael Sanden and the Tanglewood artisanal team. Every Blackbird model is meticulously braced to deliver a crisp bottom end bass note and a clear, rich high spectrum resonance. We have bound each model in vintage ivory ABS materials to produce the look of Bakelite from the 1940s, and while this will not effect the sound, it does help lend authenticity to the historic look our design team intended to preserve, and they have done a fantastic job in our opinion.
